HOLD THE DATE

OCTOBER 16, 2017 | 7 – 9 PM

Dear fellow concerned supporters,

Canada’s Bill C-36, Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act, became law in December 2014, with the provision that it would be reviewed in five years. Before the review begins, it is critical we shed light now on the gravity of the issue around the purchase and exploitation of people in our community.

On October 16, we are delighted to welcome Valiant Richey, Senior Deputy Attorney for King County, Seattle, to share his city’s experience and lessons in tackling the demand side of commercial sexual exploitation, and how they are enforcing the law. As a community, we have to educate ourselves and others around us on this topic that puts those marginalized at risk.

This event is free and open to the public, and details can be found below. RSVP HERE.

Date and Time: October 16, 2017, 7-9 PM (Doors Open at 6:30 PM)
Location: Vancouver Public Library, 350 W. Georgia Street
Registration will be required for this event, please RSVP.

We cannot be silent on this topic, and we hope you can join us on Oct 16.
